Invisalign: The Almost Invisible Choice

Invisalign aligners are particularly popular among our adult patients in the public eye who do not want the world to know they are wearing braces. It has opened up a world of beautiful teeth to many who never would have dreamt of wearing traditional braces…

Invisalign involves wearing a set of customized clear aligners. They allow you to brush as normal and to eat whatever you want during treatment. The average treatment time for this is about a year but can be faster where fewer movements are needed. It also works great for people who have previously worn braces as children and had some orthodontic relapse where the teeth drift back. With these clear aligners you can move the teeth back without anyone knowing.

Invisalign uses a series of clear aligners that are custom-moulded to fit you. The virtually invisible aligners gradually reposition your teeth into a smile you’ll be proud of.

Invisible aligners are not suitable for every case and we may recommend referral to a specialist orthodontist to help you get the best results.

Why people choose Invisalign Invisible Braces

  • Most people won't notice you're in treatment
  • It won't disrupt your lifestyle.
  • No metal wires or bands to irritate your mouth, and best of all, most people won’t notice you are in treatment. Invisalign®, the clear alternative to braces, has been chosen by over 500,000 people who want amazing smiles.

The convenience and ease of use of the invisible braces have made it the choice for hundreds of thousands of people. Being able to take the aligners out so you can eat ANY foods and you can brush your teeth as normal is a huge plus. But the key difference is being able to straighten your teeth without people knowing you are wearing braces

Are there any age limits?

No, there are no age limits! People as old as 60 and 70 are getting braces. People know how important it is to take care of themselves.

What does adult treatment feel like?

Well, the beginning part of the treatment takes a bit of getting used to for adult patients. However, after treatment gets started, things are quite comfortable.

When you have your braces placed your mouth takes some time to get used to something new. This only lasts a few days and after this you’ll hardly notice them.

When we use gentle pressure to move your teeth it is completely normal to have a sensation that they are slightly loose. This is because the ligaments that hold your teeth in are being stretched a bit. Don’t worry when the braces come off this goes away entirely.

Desperate with tooth ache during the COVID-19 Pandemic with no ressponse from my regular dentist, I visited this surgery. From the beginning, a 5 star service. Required a Root Canal Treatment which Jonathan Lee did, he was excellent as I was very nervous. It was a fabulous result which was finished by a superb fitting of a crown by Marc Clery. The level of communication, reassurance and kindness with excellent professionalism from the whole practice made me feel so reassured, I have moved to this practice! Thank you Marc & Rakhi.

Highly recommend this surgery if, like me, you are nervous or scared of visiting the dentist. They explain fully what will happen and never rush the treatment, being really patient and kind despite my anxiety. I now book up to go regularly, where before I avoided going until I had a problem because I know that I will be treated with respect and understanding over my fears, which makes the whole process bearable. It’s a very professional service too, where you get reminders about your appointments and friendly, helpful reception ladies. If you’re feeling anxious, just tell them because they really will look after you!

My son's and I were patients at another private practice for 15 years until our circumstances changed. I was extremely nervous about the change but was recommended to this practice and took the plunge with both of my sons in tow, one of whom has regular check ups while his braces are in place and after care arranged for when they are removed.. Marcus has been brilliant. His manner is reassuring, informative and thorough. The dental nurses, reception staff and hygienists are all great. The payment plan is also a good idea. Highly recommended.
